Synthesis and Characterization of Iron-Doped TiO2 Nanoparticles Using Ferrocene from Flame Spray Pyrolysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Iron-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles, with Fe/Ti atomic ratios from 0% to 10%, were synthesized by flame spray pyrolysis (FSP), employing a single-step method. Ferrocene, being nontoxic and readily soluble in liquid hydrocarbons, was used as the iron source, while tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) precursor for TiO2. The general particle characterization phase description examined using ICP-OES, XRD, BET, Raman spectroscopy, whereas XPS technique study surface chemistry of particles. For morphology, HRTEM EELS EDS analyses used. Optical magnetic properties UV–vis SQUID, respectively. Iron doping TiO2 nanoparticles promoted rutile formation, which minor pure exhibited uniform distribution within results revealed that Fe2+ dominant lower content Fe3+ common higher iron-containing particles had contracted band gap ~1 eV than visible light absorption. SQUID showed Fe changed material be paramagnetic. generated catalytic effect dye-degradation under light.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were synthesized by spray pyrolysis method using an aqueous solution of zinc acetate at various concentrations from 5 to 25 wt%. The decomposition of precursor solutions was carried out at 800, 1000 and 1200ºC under different atomizing pressures. The crystal structure and morphology of synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction ...
متن کاملCubic or monoclinic Y2O3:Eu nanoparticles by flame spray pyrolysis
Monocrystalline cubic and/or monoclinic Y2O3:Eu nanoparticles (10-50 nm) were synthesized continuously without post-processing by single-step flame spray pyrolysis (FSP). These particles were characterized by Xray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen adsorption (BET) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Photoluminescence (PL) emission was measured as well as the time-resolved PL-intensity decay. ...
متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Holmium-Doped Iron Oxide Nanoparticles
Rare earth atoms exhibit several interesting properties, for example, large magnetic moments and luminescence. Introducing these atoms into a different matrix can lead to a material that shows multiple interesting effects. Holmium atoms were incorporated into an iron oxide nanoparticle and the concentration of the dopant atom was changed in order to determine its influence on the host crystal. ...
